Don't do this at home, or your office.

I honestly don't know what to say about this guy, except he probably doesn't think its as funny as I do. It does serve him right though, wasting paper like that!

HULK IS ANGRY NOW

I sure hope the boys don't want one of these for Christmas, I don't think I could bring myself to buy it. And I have bought a lot of gross things before, but this takes the cake. I can't decide if those floating things are brains or boogers. This is fascinating in a sick sort of way.

Does anyone really care about this guy anymore?

I feel vaguely insulted by this. I am not sure why, I never really was into the Beatles. Sure I liked their some of their music, but I was never a rabid fan. Not like some people I know who still light a candle on the anniversary of John Lennon's death. I hear he wasn't such a nice guy either.

Anyway, be sure if you are interested to get those things mailed by the 20th! I guess he has so much to do taping those Thomas the Tank engine videos, Oh wait, he doesn't do those anymore. Maybe he is busy recording some new music, nope not doing that either. Maybe he has to hurry out and count his money. Probably type up a new price chart for his autograph collectibles business.

The perfect employee

As most of you know, my husband works on the radio. He has been employed in the radio business in one way or another for many years. He started at the local station in Leitchfield, Ky when he was 14. He loooooves radio. He also loves dedicated employees. When I saw this video, I instantly thought of him. I think he would hire this guy in a minute if he spoke English. I don't know, as dedicated as this guy is, he might hire him anyway.

I think there is something wrong with me.

I find this video too funny. I can't think of anything funny to say, I just keep watching it over and over! I know I have a sick sense of humor, but this is beyond even my weak powers of restraint.

I may have been too hasty.

Perhaps I was wrong. Don't laugh, it happens on occasion that I am wrong, and I always try to 'fess up right away. Don't ask George about this, he doesn't have a very good memory in these cases. They happen so rarely I am not surprised.

In this case it isn't too bad really. I have discovered that perhaps cake may have a very close runner up in my obsession file. The caramel apple pie from Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen has entered into my "must eat this" file. This pie is really too good. I think its the caramel icing that does it. That icing is good even if it isn't on a cake. The insides of the pie are nice and apple - y so it holds up well under that thick layer of caramel goodness.

You should probably try one for yourself, really the only way to tell if you are a cake person or a pie person is to eat a lot of each. If you happen to stop into the Pie Kitchen , don't let yourself get distracted by all that ice cream though, really the only use for ice cream is to fill up your cake plate, and if you make your cake slice big enough you don't even need it then! Of course if someone could figure out a way to put icing on ice cream I would eat that, oh wait, I already do! Thanks DQ. Really anything with icing is good. MMmmm icing.

My newest obsession

Cake! I have been spending far too much time on cake. My life has been cakes 24/7 lately. I don't know why, but it may have started with my new Bundt pan. Since then, I have been looking at sites about cakes, thinking of cakes to make, making cakes, and of course eating them.
Somebody needs to stop me!

Hey Ya!

My baby sure looks good in blue,

I bet you wish yours did too.
What do George and your Grandmother have in common? Blue Hair!

See all this time everyone thought we were going out to Ideal Image for laser hair removal, when actually George was getting laser hair replacement. And my goodness, doesn't he look great now?

Memories part two

I was brave yesterday and took both boys to the dentist at the same time. Twice the complaining in half the time! We have a great dentist, so they weren't afraid at all, it was more of the "Why do I have to lose my game time today to visit this place?" whining. Zach was just fine but Matt had 4! cavities.

When the nurse gave me the bad news she said she reviewed proper brushing procedures with him. I guess she did more than yell from the other room: "Is the water running yet? I don't hear any brushing going on!" She could probably tell more accurately what was being brushed than I could, of course I only see if the brush is wet or not.

When she was explaining this, she also told me she appreciated Matt's honesty, he told her he couldn't ever remember brushing his teeth. He didn't even know if he had ever had a toothbrush. I guess the fight in Target a month ago over buying the spider man versus the incredible hulk toothbrush really didn't stand out for him.

I was standing there trying to think what to say when she just handed me a new toothbrush. I think she pities me now, we'll see in 2 weeks when we go to get the 4! cavities filled.

There is a 49% chance you will be amused.

After spending 3 days at home with kids and snow, I have decided to answer questions around my house with a meteorologists precision. In other words everything is going to get a prediction chance. Can you go outside and play in the snow again? There is a 32% chance you hung your coat and mittens up last time so there is only a 24% chance everything is dry enough to go back out. Do you want a cookie? 89% chance you will get the one you want. You want to play another hour of halo? 32 % chance that will happen.

There is a slight chance of a misunderstanding occurring, but my latest computer models don't show it to be serious. I expect by the middle of the week, my household will be completely put out with me. But I don't care, the 7 day forecast shows me a 100% chance I will be amused.

Memory is a funny thing

Isn't it funny how two people can experience the same event and yet remember it in two completely different ways? George and I have that problem.

I had a lovely lunch with George yesterday at Pesto's. Really good food, nice conversation. It was great, until I wanted to go home. We agree on this part of the day. See the nice green van being blocked by the son of evil grey van? Yup, that was me in there.

At first I thought it was just someone running in to a business and couldn't find a place to park. I don't do that, but I know people who do (George). If you are in a hurry, I can understand the reason you don't want to find a place to park, and walk 20 more feet. I don't like it, but I do understand it. George went in to several nearby businesses and a construction site, but no one would admit to parking there.

After 15 minutes, I figured whoever it was wasn't in a hurry. So I called the parking lot management system to get some help, they said they would send someone right out. Funny how when you go 10 minutes over your paid time, they can ticket your car in 5 seconds, but if you double park, they never show up.

After 30 minutes a nice police detective stopped nearby and gave me the number for the police dispatch office as it wasn't exactly a 911 moment. I called and they said someone would be right out too.

By this time George was tired of my "whining, and complaining" see this is where the stories differ, I thought I was being patient. He says "I was ready to start ramming it with our van." We both agree it was a good idea to look in the other van to get some clue to the owner. George discovered a hard hat and some tools, and concluded it had to be someone at the construction site he already visited. He was right. (see I can admit it sometimes)

George went back to the site and was able to get someone to track the guy down. When the guy showed up, he was mad at me! He said I had taken his spot that he had paid for at 7AM. I politely disagreed with him, I had also paid for the spot when I showed up at lunch time. I nicely explained that he was making me late to pick up my kids from school. I am sure I was all that was nice and kind.

George of course, remembers things a bit differently. He says there was a lot of cursing and screaming, and that the poor man ran to his van and hid from me. Well, George does have a poor memory, but I love him anyway.

What is wrong with you people? Learn how to park already!

The Landing strip

I am almost finished putting everything away, and I really miss the look of the holiday. For the month of December we had large, light up, candy canes in the yard and down our sidewalk. I really liked how they added light early in the morning.

So did our newspaper delivery person (whom I shall now refer to as "paperboy"). For the first time all year our paper actually ended up somewhere near our front door. And, in the same general spot every day! It was exciting to be able to stumble outside in the dark and be assured that those cheery red lights would illuminate my paper on the sidewalk.

It was a sad morning after I took down the candy cane landing strip. My paper was off in the yard again. Without those red and white canes to guide it to my sidewalk, it just couldn't make it.

George says the candy canes had nothing to do with the better landing spot. He thinks the paperboy was hoping for a nice Christmas bonus. Well, he won't get a bonus until he stops burning holes in the paper.

What is wrong with you people? Get that paper on the sidewalk already!
